Queen Beatrix has also her own artistic aspirations.
She also presents yearly the awards for best artists.

The French generation of Chalon-Orange and the
German generation of Nassau melted together by
the marriage between Hendrik 3rd of Nassau-Breda
and Claudia of Chalon-Orange and by heredity to the
property of Willem van Nassau-Dillenburg,
who since then called himself Willem van Oranje-Nassau.

In 1672 Orange was conquered by Lodewijk 14th.
Definit French territory it became in 1713.
